July Sermon Series
A Word from Pastor Thompson...During the month of July, we will be studying the theme “The Transforming Covenant.” The Smith’s Bible Dictionary defines covenant as; “a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from specific actions.” In the book of Isaiah 55:3 we read; “Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” What we learn from this verse is that God is a God of covenant. Since the creation of mankind, God has been engaging His creation through covenants. Each covenant mentioned in the Bible is a declaration of God’s promise to us and humanity’s promise to God. Join us as we study “The Transforming Covenant.”
